Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency involves the skills and knowledge required to participate as a member of a team in community safety activities including working with the community on matters, presenting organisational approved community safety information and contributing to hazard mitigation activities. Community safety activities provide an important opportunity to build community capacity in relation to prevention, preparedness and response to fires. The unit applies to personnel required to participate as a member of a team in a variety of activities to build community capacity in relation to prevention, preparedness and response to fire events. Work at this level is performed under direct supervision and instruction.The fire sector is those sections of government departments, statutory authorities or organisations that have responsibility under jurisdictional arrangements for the delivery of firefighting and fire management services.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
